As of May 2013, we have a total of 16 nest sites installed in Beeman Creek Park, Memorial Park, and along the Clarence Bike Path at Main St. and Salt Rd. Four boxes have active Bluebird nests, some with eggs/chicks and one successful fledgling. There are four boxes with active Tree Swallow nests, some with eggs. There are also some boxes with House Wren nests. One has eggs waiting to hatch.
We continue to maintain the boxes and remove any pests, like wasps. As you can see, the boxes are home to many species of birds.
With the warm weather, we cannot only enjoy our community and its natural beauty, we can help maintain it.
